Coaching and Mentoring
The global economy has changed. Today’s leaders must be able to do more with less. Leaders who possess coaching skills directly impact current and future employee performance in numerous ways.
While professionals can boost their technical competence by themselves, people- centered skillsets generally grow through coaching and mentoring programs. As a leader, one of the most important roles is to coach your people to do their best. By doing this, you'll help them make better decisions, solve problems that are holding them back, learn new skills, and otherwise progress their careers.
Coaching and mentoring are instrumental parts of the learning and development strategies of many organizations these days, and have been proven to be effective in terms of engaging, developing, and retaining talent. They are both integral tools in helping talent navigate their work and development within an organization.
The GROW Model is a simple yet powerful framework for structuring the coaching and mentoring sessions, and is used by the International Coach Federation (ICF). This framework will be used for the following workshop sessions.
By the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to –
Differentiate coaching vs. mentoring vs. counselling vs. consulting and in what ways they can use a certain intervention in the workplace
Apply the GROW model through REAL plays instead of role plays to discuss real workplace complex problems and determine how they could apply and refine their strategies in the actual sessions
Learn what went well, what were the difficulties, and what could be done differently on their real play through the critiquing sessions with the ICF certified coaches
Actual practice and application of tools to problems identified by the Participants/Immediate Superior of the Participants
